shopify gains a seat on the pytorch foundation governing board. shuying sun, engineering manager of the foundation model team at shopify, will join both the governing board and the technical advisory council. sun drives innovation in ai and large language models for shopify's commerce foundation model. previously, she led the ml fundamental platform team at microsoft bing & ai, giving her experience in large-scale training and inference optimization. her practitioner's view will help inform the technical direction of pytorch and related projects.
